Voicemail Configuration (Optional)

If you have followed the CommPortal wizard your voicemail will already be setup. You can change your voicemail mailbox settings here

Now depending on your configuration, you will be able to configure voicemail in one of two ways.

info-note.png INFO: If you have a Calling Party Number set, this is the number that will be displayed when you make an outbound call. The voicemail setup is slightly different. Please see the second section of this document Setting up Voicemail from your DDI - With a Calling Party Number.

Setting up Voicemail from your DDI

From either your Desk Phone or Pod Connect Application dial 121

    1. Select the language you wish to use - press 1 to confirm - The first choice is British English
    2. Record your name. 
    3. Setup a greeting - Select the type of greeting you wish to use.
    4. Confirm greeting press #
    5. Your initial voicemail setup has been completed.

Setting up Voicemail from your DDI - With a Calling Party Number

Before calling 121 to setup your Voicemail you MUST first create a Voicemail PIN. To do this login into the CommPortal with your DDI and password. At the bottom of the page under Security click on Change Voicemail PIN. Enter a new PIN then confirm the new PIN. 

Once this has been done you can call the voicemail number 121

  1. Your will be asked to enter your area code and phone number followed by # (This is your DDI)
  2. Enter your PIN followed by (This is the PIN you have just created)
  3. Select the language you wish to use - press 1 to confirm - The first choice is British English
  4. Record your name. 
  5. Setup a greeting - Select the type of greeting you wish to use.
  6. Confirm greeting press #
  7. Your initial voicemail setup has been completed. 

Optional Settings 

You can log into the CommPortal to manage most of your Message Settings these include:

  • Forward messages as emails
  • Upload or record a greeting
  • Or choose a System greeting
