CommPortal Setup Wizard
When you first log into the CommPortal you will be greeted with the CommPortal Setup Wizard, this will guide you through the following:
- Changing your CommPortal Password
- Changing your Voicemail PIN
- Recording your Name for Voicemail
- Recording your Personal Greeting
Click on Next to continue, if you would like to set your account up later click on Log Out.
Changing your CommPortal Password
Your will now see the below the Change Password page.
First of all you will need to change your password. Enter your Old Password (the one you have just used to login with), next enter a New Password now Confirm New Password.
Next enter a valid email address.
You now need to decide whether you would like to use your email address or your phone number to login to the CommPortal and Pod Connect applications. This can be change again within the CommPortal.
By default it is ticked to use your email address as the login. Untick this box if you would like to use your phone number instead.
Click on Next
|INFO: Please keep your login email address or phone number and new password in a safe place, these login details are also required to be able to logon to the Pod Connect for Desktop/Android/iOS applications.|
A confirmation email will have been sent to the email address entered above. Please check to make this has been received. If this is not in your inbox please check your spam/junk folders.
You have now changed your password, added your security email address and decided whether you would like use your email or phone number to login with. Click OK
Changing your Voicemail PIN
Next you now need to set your Voicemail PIN. This will need to be a minimum of 6 digits. Click Next
|INFO: You may have already been given a Voicemail PIN by your supplier, you can safely ignore that Voicemail PIN and set a new one here.|
Recording your Name for Voicemail and Recording your Personal Greeting
Next you can record your name, this is used to identify the mailbox when you call in (This is useful if you have multiple lines and dialling in from an external number) or can be used as part of a system generated voicemail greeting. You can change your greeting type from the CommPortal Message Settings.
|INFO: You will need access to a microphone to proceed, if do not have access to a microphone or would like to set this up later you can skip this stage, however you will prompted to setup your Voicemail when you first access your mailbox. See Voicemail Configuration for more information.|
Click on Record Name, in the recording box you can either record your name/business name or upload a previously recorded name. Click on the record button to start recording, once the recording is complete on the record button again to stop. Click the play button to listen your recording. Click on Save to save this recording as your name.
Next you can record your greeting, this is what callers will hear when they want to leave a voicemail.
Click on Record Greeting, in the recording box you can either record your voicemail greeting or upload a previously recorded greeting. Click on the record button to start recording, once the recording is complete on the record button again to stop. Click the play button to listen your recording. Click on Save to save this recording as a voicemail greeting. Click Next to continue.
You have now set your voicemail PIN, recorded your name and recorded your voicemail greeting. Click on finish at access the CommPortal.
TIP: You can change your voicemail greeting at anytime by accessing the CommPortal Message Settings within the CommPortal.
